I have 2 problems regarding the Calendar. I'm sure they're easy fixes, but i've been through all the setting at least 3 times and I can't figure it out.

1. When I click on the mini calendar link (the month) it says I don't have permission. But i'm the admin, plus I have my account set to super admin. However if I click on Calendar on the Navbar, it lets me view it.

2. How do I set the mini calendar to display a link on the individual dates that scheduled events are on?

Thanks for your help.

Edit your calendar module and make sure you have a valid calendar selected to show events from. Even if you do, save the module to be sure the cache is updated.

Same problem here. Saved like 10 times, no events showing up on my calendar.

How do we clear the cache?

Can you post a link to your site?

Brian,

My bad. I just noticed that the Mini-Calendar is not showing events when LOGGED IN. You likely viewed it as unregistered, which shows all of the event links...

Any ideas?

Does it show the events on the regular calendar when you're logged in?

i'm in this boat as well.

i've edited the module to allow every user possible access to the calendar.

i have two machines open, on the desktop i'm logged in as an admin, and i can access the calendar through the horizontal nav bar. it all looks as it should. i cannot access it through the link in the title of the module. ["you do not have permission to access this page"]. no date in the calendar has a hotlink associated with it where you can click on that day and see the day's events.

on the laptop, as an unregistered user, i cannot access any part of the calendar, through the title bar or the nav bar. no date in the calendar has a hotlink associated with it where you can click on that day and see the day's events.

it looks like it's broken in two places. properly awarding (imposing?) access to users, and since the dates aren't showing up as hotlinks, something is being lost between the box that shows up on the screen with the numbers in it, and the data that's written "inside" of the calendar. it doesn't seem like the calendar box "sees" the events written on the pages inside, and offers up links to them.

sorry for the babble, i'm coffee'd up. if i figure anything out i'll post it. if anyone else has thoughts, all help is appreciated :)

the site in question is in my profile.

Yep, the regular calendar works well.

unregistered, minicalendar = good

logged in, mini calendar = bad

I'm wondering if this may have to do with caching and the fact I am in a non-standard usergroup (basically moderator type group without ban privileges).

mongoose - Edit your Mini Calendar module and make sure you have a valid calendar selected for the calendar to display option. Even if you do, save the module to be sure the cache is updated.

roscoe36 - I'm not entirely sure what the problem would be, but if you'd like to submit a support ticket I'll be glad to take a look.

breaking news, although i had been saving the module, i hadn't been getting any different results. when i decided to move a module via the admin panel(not the calendar, btw), everything changed.

perhaps it was the cache updating, i dunno, but, now the calendar works fine. at least for myself. haven't had any guests yet, i'm just getting this thing in order.

just wanted to share an update.

Brian,

I'll try what Mongoose did, and if it doesn't work, I'll drop you a ticket.

Thanks for all of the help!

mongoose - Edit your Mini Calendar module and make sure you have a valid calendar selected for the calendar to display option. Even if you do, save the module to be sure the cache is updated. This is what I had to do and it worked for me. Prior to this, the days of the month were displayed incorrectly and alt1 & alt2 background colors were inverted.

I created a new calendar, selected / saved the new one. Then reselected the original. Afterwards, it worked just fine.

Brian fixed me up. There was an issue with the minicalendar module. Don't ask me more because I don't know. I filed a ticket.
