That screen shot really doesn't tell us much. What page is that occuring on, where is it occuring, does it happen with the default vB3 style, etc. etc....
Perhaps a link directly to the problem?

Try turning the 'Use Module Shell' option off for that module.

Wait... I think he's talking about the gradient background, not the size of the bar.
Rafael, in your style manager look for instances of "url(" and change them to be fully qualified. For example, if right now if it looks like "url(images/abc.gif" it needs to be "url(http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/abc.gif" instead.
