First the upgrade told me I was running a version lower than 1.0 when I was at 1.01. Then all my customized templates got wiped out. All my customized php such as pulling news using thread icon hack became obsolete. Then the additional info I added with the geeks articles disappeared. And every time I am trying to select a forum to start from scratch, it will not accept the settings.

Calendar disappeared. Etc.. etc..

The readme file and the post for 2.0 tells you that any default CMPS templates (whether customized or not) will be removed since they are not compatable, so you should have been prepared for that.
I know a few people have said they had problems with the geek articles module, but if you search through the forums I believe somebody has found a solution.
What exactly are you trying to select a forum for, and where exactly are you selecting it?
For the calendar, edit that module and make sure that you have a calendar selected. Even if you do, save the options just to be sure the cache is updated.

I am coming back a little. I just got the gallery fix, I will be looking for the geek.
I had a template whereI placed only one file a $file which was a php include from phpinclude template. I can't get to display.
I lost many other modules which were built around geek's. I guess I would have to do them all over.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings => Portal Output Global Variables

Try adding 'file' to that option and see if it helps.

Nope that does not help.

Can you post the contents of your php_include_start template?

I've got it to work. It turned out that the file disappeared in forums root. How? that beats me.

Did you have a backup of the style?

(Does backing up the style backup the templates too?)

I am coming back a litlle. After all looks like the new version is worthing the trouble. Besides some key modules that I have to redo, it will be fine.
