I just started this website a few weeks ago. I am using the new vbulletin 3.5 software with it. This is a website for the outdoors sportsman. Fishing, hunting and outdoor recipes.

www.northamericasportsman.com

I am looking for creative suggestions to make this a better website.

Basscat,

VERY nice site!

Like your professional-looking layout and color choices a lot.

From an appearance standpoint, one big improvement would be to add gentle gradients and shadows. You'll need to get a Photoshop person to do it right.

For example, look at the overall beautiful effect that just a couple extra shadows and gradients have on this site: http://www.vbarticles.com

From a content standpoint, I don't know anything about hunting. Your choice of forum content already looks quite good.

Stachel,

Thanks for your imput. The gradients and shadows on http://www.vbarticles.com really make it stand out. I am going to pick up photoshop and start playing with it.

Looks nice,,

Sorry for the delayed reply, I have been up to my arm pits in bull dozer repair, so I have not been online.

Thanks for looking mholtum! I am going to work on some of the things that Stachel recommended.

I was bored with the colors, so I redid it. Now it looks like an outdoors site.

Very nice looking site. I would suggest one thing though. While browsing the forums there is no link to the Gallery in the navbar and while browsing the Gallery there is no link to the Forums. I did not register so I don't know if that changes when you register. But I would have a link to the forums and gallery in the navbar. You can insert them in the navabr or install the hack called Navbar2 over at vBorg.

Does this hack work with vb 3.5?

It works with all version right now and even 3.5. Just follow the directions. If you need any help at all installing it let me know. But I will not be around for a week after this post. I am heading north for a moose hunting trip in about two hours for a whole week.

Why?

I do not have time to manage multiple websites.

I forwarded the domain name to another site that I built to sell with the same skin. Give the dns a little time to catch up.
