What does this exactly do?

This runs at midnight every night. Does it verify every link in the links directory?

I had an isue tonight that happened at midnight that really slowed my site down bad. I mean really bad. I have no cron jobs running on my site at all. So there is nothing running except the following in my vB Scheduled Task Manager at midnight:

Subscriptions
Daily Statistics Log
Links Directory Subscriptions
Links Search Cleanup

Any suggestions here?

The links subscriptions cron job just sends out an email to those who are subscribed to directories.
