Just wondering on the best way to uninstall homepage? I am going to upgrade tomorrow morning.

Also when I upgrade and then uninstall homepage the only thing that will be removed will be any custom code on the Portal page/Main page correct? Just making sure I have everything I need backed up. I did see a post saying that I can install, add the custom code and then uninstall and there shouldnt be a problem. correct?

Thanks

JM

Run the uninstall link and undo the file edits ;)

However there is an upgrade path by running vBa CMPS

ok cool, ya I saw the upgrade path which I will most likely use. if I do the upgrade path, will I loose all my custom stuff as well? just want to backup the coding before I do it just in case.

Thanks for the help Zachery

From what I understand, you will lose your custom coding.. You will have to add your custom templates manually. Which I hear is easy.. I may be wrong.. I am know for that.. LOL

Well it looks like the install did not work. I installed it as stated, I then proceeded to uninstall homepage which removed some stuff. I then changed the cmps_index.php to just index.php. and now my portal page is completely blank. I removed and reinstalled CMPS and followed the install guide exactly how it tells me to update all the files etc. I could not upgrade since I did not have RC1 version. it did not give me the option to upgrade.

Anyone able to help me out on what could be wrong?

Thanks
