Poll Bug: Log off / Can vote again

I ran into another little bug yesterday. I have random polls viewing on my homepage.. If I am logged into my site and vote on a poll, when I log out I can vote on it again. I know this has to do with the cookies being cleared, is there a way to have to poll check IPs instead on the cookies/?

In the thread, the poll work fine, but in CMPS i see a bug on show results.

Frankenberrie - Having it check the IP address would require modifying the way poll voting is handled in vBulletin. The votes on the homepage should be handled in the same was as they are in vBulletin though. Are you able to vote on the poll if you try doing it on the normal vBulletin pages?

I just instaled RC2, overwritting old archives, then the poll stay bugged. With that fix, the poll works perfectly.

I guess I will have to restrict poll voting to registered members only. :confused:

I hate the fact that if someone votes, leaves the page and comes back, they can vote again.

Allowing guests to vote means anyone who is a guest can vote. :)

You should post a bug report at vBulletin.com in the bug tracker or ask for it to be changed in the suggestion forums.
