Hello -

I have successfully installed CMPS and absolutely love it. My problem is, the style I installed last evening doesn't seem to work directly from the front page.

ie -
http://www.infiniti-driver.com/forums/cmps_index.php (works fine, the style is 'dark approach')

However, I have put the cmps_index file in the main folder to load automatically:
http://www.infiniti-driver.com (as you can see, it does not load from here, though ALL OTHER styles do)

Any ideas? I've spent hours on this and can't seem to get it working. I've actually re-installed cmps without any luck to fix it. :(

Thanks! :)

Found this while searching...but don't see the links like these anywhere?

Thank you,
Travis

Seems to be working fine for me, so I'm assuming you were able to figure out the problem?

Hi Brian -

Through ALOT of trial and error, I was able to get it working today.... I had to:

-Changed XML (install file) to reflect anything referencing darkapproach to http://www.infiniti-driver.com/forums/darkapproach so images and any other paths that were pulled off of this location would be directed appropriately

-Upload ‘no avatar’ image from default style to darkapproach folder (this image is missing)

-Copy parameters in banner template to header template (section) otherwise it looks for the calendar (and forums, new posts, EVERYTHING in the root). It will look at http://www.infiniti-driver.com/calendar.php rather than the correct http://www.infiniti-driver.com/forums/calendar.php

I'm sure there is an easier way and some variables that SHOULD HAVE been put in place to make this work from the get go? Like the file locations in the XML file?

If you have a minute to let me know what you think I'd appreciate it. Looking at the source helped me figure it all out, guess I'm going to have to start learning somewhere... :)

Thanks,
Travis

You could have just uploaded the CMPS install file, gone to it in your browser, and selected the option to update your image paths.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings => Header Replacements

That's what that option is for. ;)

Thanks Brian. For some reason 'other' things weren't working as well, I was aware of the image paths area (though I don't remember now what 'wasn't' working. :(

Thanks for the heads up on the header replacements! :) I really appreciate your insite on the board.
