Turning Site Off Via Admin CP

Is there any way to turn off just my forums via the admin cp in the vBulletin options area, rather than the whole site? If I need to shut down for forums maintenance, it takes down my whole site.

No, if you shut the forums down then that will affect anything that uses vB as a backend.
