vBadvanced CMPS 1.0.0 (Gold) Released!

vBadvanced CMPS 1.0.0 (aka Gold) has just been released and is now available in the 'Programs / Scripts' section of the site. This new version is just another maintence release to fix all known bugs that have been reported so far. After two RC versions, I think the number of remaining bugs should be very minimal and it is about time for an offical 'Gold' version. Upgrading from either of the RC versions is very easy and there are instructions in the readme file included in the zip file.

I did the upgrade from rc2, but the powered by message still indicates rc2. What needs to be done to look like yours

yes i did, I guess the sql which generates the copyright is not getting updated when just doing an upgrade

Just run install again, but this time install templates only and that should update the version # :)

cmps_index.php also has vBadvanced CMPS v1.0 RC2 in the comments

I had the same problem with the version # not updating, I just uninstalled and then started the install from scratch...

Another solution is to just edit any of your phrases and save it. I forgot to update the language cache after the change, so that's why the version number isn't getting updated for most people. Saving a phrase through the Admin CP though will update the cache. ;)

Did you upgrade your version of vBulletin as well? It looks like some of your templates are missing, which would be a result of upgrading vBulletin. If you upload the install file, go to it in your browser, and select the option to install only the templates then that should fix the problem. Also, it looks like you're running vBa Homepage, not the CMPS.

Nope I've definatley got VBA CMPS running. When I view it I see the quick moderation module and such.

I actually uninstalled it all and reinstalled it again.

Check the readme file:

To upgrade from vBadvanced CMPS vRC1 or vRC2 simply upload the new files over your existing ones (with the exception of your cmps_index.php file). Then go to http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php in your browser and select the option to upgrade.

If you are upgrading to the CMPS from vBadvanced Homepage, simply follow the install instructions. During the install you will be given the option to import your vBadvanced Homepage settings. Once the CMPS is installed and you are ready to switch to the CMPS you may uninstall the homepage by using the install file that came with that script.

I intend to install this great hack since it looks so professional and is exactly what I need for my homepage. I have a phpBB Forum but I will move to vb3 as soon as my latest transaction is processed.

I have some questions:

1) Since this is a hack, I have to install the default vBulletin Software first right?

2) I want to have my vB installation in my .com/forum folder, how do I make sure that vBadvanced CMPS is featured at my .com address?

3) Do style sets for vBadvanced change as the Members change their Style Sets in the Forum? How does it function in regard to Style Sets?

By the way, is this the latest version of the hack?

We are not associated with vBulletin in any way (though Zachery is a forum moderator there). The reason we ask for members to confirm their license status is to help prevent pirated boards from getting ahold of our products. I feel that by doing that it helps both us and Jelsoft... If someone is going to steal a copy of vBulletin, then I'm sure they would do their best to steal a copy of our products as well. It also helps to prevent non-licensed user's from getting ahold of our free products and placing them on other sites for download. Plus, if someone with a pirated board cannot get access to download hacks such as this, some may go ahead and purchase vBulletin so that they can. ;)
