Would it be possible to use both the Homepage and the new CMPS script on the board?
I currently run the Homepage script on the http://www.calpolyonline.com/index.php.
I want to know if I can install the CMPS script on http://www.calpolyonline.com/articles.php. (please tell me this will work, it will be awesome!)

So, when a visitor visits calpolyonline.com, they are looking at the Homepage index. If they click on the "Article" link, they are directed to the CMPS page, located at www.calpolyonline.com/articles/

Hope you understood what I was trying to explain. ;) :)

Yes, both may be installed at the same time. Honestly though, there's not much of a reason to keep the homepage installed. You could install the CMPS, get it set up the way you want it, and then uninstall the homepage. You could then make a copy of the cmps_index.php page and rename it to articles.php, or place it in an articles folder and that should do the trick as there shouldn't be any problem with having two copies of that file. :)

I like to keep the index.php page with Homepage because I don't want to make a simple mistake and make the site go down (it happens :( ).

If I want to add the cmps_index.php to the article folder (www.calpolyonline.com/article/), do I need to follow the entire instructions on eadme_vba_cmps.html ? And no need to update anything, right?

Yup, just follow the same instructions and the file can be placed anywhere on your server. :)
