I would use cinqs vbarticles here http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74189

it includes a php file for adding it to your home page, this is the one i use and i love it!!

I recently uploaded a more article centric version of the mod which can be found at

I'm in the process of tweaking it around so it will do a directory listing of articles in a specific forum. Should be done this weekend.
