View Full Version : [Module] Current Moon Phase

This is a quickie module to show the current moon phase. This will work with either vB 3.5 or vB 3.0 since there is no PHP code involved, just an HTML template with JavaScript.
For those experienced with vBa CMPS.... it's just a HTML template module that has the javascript code from the source site inserted into the template.
I changed the code that is obtained from the source site a bit to make the colors more generic, that way it'll work with almost any style's colors.
Attached is a screen shot showing it on the stock vB3.x style and on a custom style.

Is there anyway this will work with 3.0.7 ?
Thanks,
Jbear6jbear, it should work fine with vB 3.0.x as long as you're using CMPS 2.x or above. The content is being pulled from a 3rd party server and there is nothing in the module that deals with vBulletin type permissions so as long as your site is running CMPS 2.x or above the file *should* work fine.
If it doesn't let me know and I'll try it on my 3.0.x test site. If you're running CMPS 1.x let me know and I'll post the template & code broken out instead of as a .module file.

Hi!
I tried to install the module, but it says:
"Your modules directory is not writable. Please chmod your modules directory to 777 and try again."
What is the meaning of this?

Hi Ramses,
thanks for the link. Now I could install the module and I also activated it. But I cannot see it in my portal?! What do I have to do?

Simone, when you added the module did you choose the option to enable it on all pages? If not go into the CMPS page that you want it to show on and make sure that the module is turned on.

I just tried uploading the product and got this message
XML Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at Line 1
Can someone tell me what this means ?
All I have dine so far is downloaded the module to my system, then tried to upload it via the admin manage products.
Thanks for the help. I know the folks on my forum would like this module.

JayeMule,
You want to upload it to your CMPS settings, not your vBulletin settings.
ACP => vBa CMPS => Download / Upload Module => Upload Module

OK I uploaded this module, correctly this time. But it still does not show on my cmps page > I tried with IE Explorer and Firefox browsers and can't see it in either one . All I needed to do was install and activate it right ?
Hmm Any ideas appreciated.
Jaye
