I clicked on the link and I can't find the password that it tells me to find?
"To do so, please go to this link to find the password and enter that password in the box below. Once you do that you will be marked as licensed and be able to view the support forums."
Clicking on that link doesn't bring up any password information. I have a valid license with vbulletin.com however I'm not sure what "password" your seeking to get confirmation that I have a legal VB.

That link didn't actually go anywhere until just a few minutes ago. I just changed it and the password is now posted on vB.org. ;)

Got it working.. thank you.. I was just alittle fast. :) Great portal.
Nope. Doesn't supply a password but rather an error and so I cannot download the new version.
As I posted somewhere else - not such a good feeling about being locked out for the past week. Is it really necessary?
I even went into my profile here and set it to the vb email address and followed the activation link sent to my email address. Still no password shows up.

Click here to get the password. (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showpost.php?p=469603&postcount=560)
if you cannot see the password,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to access the passowrd at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/forums.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.
You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.
Thank you.
Once you have the password http://www.vbadvanced.com/index.php?page=license click there to fill it in :)

Do you even own a vBulletin license?
Did you recive your registration email ?
Brian

I've just updated the license page and added VERY detailed instructions on how to upgrade an account here. If you go back to that page and follow the instructions there step by step then you will not have a problem upgrading your account.

You really need to get a license for you your vBulletin Software if you don't have one.
The problem will be support. I don't think anyone will give you support on an unlicensed copy.
Zachery

you need to have a vBulletin license which you can purcahse here (http://www.vbulletin.com/order/)

It's not a very good idea to be running a pirated copy either... Jelsoft will find out, and it usually doesn't take long for them to contact those running pirated copies. ;)

edshuck, you are currently showing up as unlicensed. In order to receive support, download hacks, and etc you must first prove that you own a valid vBulletin license. To do so, please click here. Once you prove your license status you will be marked as licensed and be able to view the support forums.
The above is plaguing me on vBadvanced regardless of trapsing though the registration system that seems to do nothing. So I phoned support at vBulletin. I did not get through because of traffic load. But they eMailed.
Dear Ed Shuck,
Thank you for your recent telephone call. In response to your question, you will need to contact the people at vBAdvanced.com. That is not an official vB site and we do not run it or control it in any way.
All the best,

ed, do you show up as unlicensed at vbulletin.org ?
i.e. can you view code and download hacks?

That is the problem I am having.
I own a license for the vbulletin (I got it a couple of years back and have renewed it with gratitude to vbulletin over the years.
I am current.
Yet I get the Upgrade your account statement.
I am fully paid up at vbulletin.com
Do I pay vbulletin.org and/or vBadvanced? I have looked and cannot find anything. I have followed the link given back through vbulletin.org and right into a valid set of id and password. But no go.
I found the site through Kall at nzboards.com while doing some work through the admin zone.
The reply quoted in the previous poist is from support at vbulletin.com.
Heck, I even have a valid winzip license!
Richard

Ok, so you don't show up as licensed at vbulletin.org or vbulletin.com ?
If not, make sure that you have the e-mail address that you are registered with on vbulletin.com & vbulletin.org entered into the members section on vbulletin.com.

Wait a moment.
I am registered on vBulletin.com. I will go back in using the id and pw. That long one they gave me. and confirm.
But it should be ok. Since my last payment - extension - I dled 3.0.0
I will check that and then I will give it up.

Where it says
Owner's eMail:edshuck@noevalley.com
The three blank spots for eMail I have entered in the past (as recently as yesterday) but are blank now.

So a ?
Do i fill in a edshuck@vBullitin.org which is an eMail I do not have. But one that would allow vbulletin.org to check my registration on vbulletin.com?
My owned license expires Jan 31, 2005

If it is expired I would think that no matter what you do it will not work. You should renew your license first and then try.

Mine doesn't. Mine shows the e-mail addresses that I have entered. It should not be blank.

You should put in the e-mail address that you registered with on vbulletin.com (the forum) and vbulletin.org (the forum). If they are the same e-mail address, you just have to enter that one e-mail address. If you registered on each site with a different e-mail address, then enter both e-mail addresses.

Let me rephrase. It will list your registered email address's with three places you can enter alternative email address's these are blank.

When I go to this link it states that I have already proven that I have a license.
http://www.vbadvanced.com/index.php?page=license
But when I go to this link, it says I do not currently own a license.

You don't need a license to download the CMPS since it's free. Just go to the Products / Services page and follow the links. ;)
