View Full Version : Super Moderator + slow load

First I would like to say that I really like CMPS. It all works great except for the strange problem of extreme slow loading for anyone that has "is a SuperModerator" permissions in VBulletin. By extreme slow I mean that it can take 30-35 seconds to load the CMPS page while there are no problems on any page in VB. If I remove the "is a SuperModerator" permissions from the usergroup the CMPS page will load in under 1 second. Any Ideas? :confused:

That's most likely from the Quick Moderation module. I tested that on my personal site which has 1/2 million posts and about 5,000 members and had no performance issues at all. I know that someone else has said that it was a problem on their site with 27,000 members though... If you would like to submit a support ticket I will be more than happy to have a look and see if anything can be done to improve the load time.

You sir are a genius. I went in and remove the moderate.php module and replaced it with a blank file named moderate.php and it loaded up just as quick as you please. No quick moderation now but it loads quickly. Thank you for the very quick reply also.

LMAO :D Good point. You will have to excuse me. I just updated to vb3 and added CMPS. With all the changes in the layout and other things I have seemed to forget to use the kiss rule and look for the easiest way to do things.

I had the same problem i disabled moderator module and its all good.. :)

I had to nix mine too. It was loading too slowly with the moderation module.

For those that have a problem with the module, do you also have the 'Quick Stats' option which shows you the same info turned on in your Admin CP? If so, does your main Admin CP page load slowly as well?

I tried turning off Quick Stats and it seemed to make about a 3 second difference a couple times it was a little longer. It's a little hard to tell because the server is pretty backed up right now - they're supposed to be transfering my account to another.

3-5 seconds isn't too bad for going into the admin panel. Since the vba cmps index is my forum home page, it's not something I want to put up with every time I click the back button after reading a post.
