Links Directory by Usergroups

I am wonder, if possible, if I can set users permissions per link directory (examples maybe paying members have downloads to exclusive scripts or admins would like to share links with other admins). So I would need these permissions set per directory created. Is this possible, if not maybe within the next release I see like general usersgroup setting to the entire links area but not per created directory.

I am in need of a can create links only on usergroup permissions type function. Currently I can only restrict viewing permissions based on usergroup membership.

I want to be able to only allow members of a specific usergroup to be able to create/add links in a specific directory category. Currently this is a global permission i.e. if set to Can Add Links = yes, then the user can add links in any directory category.

I will create a support ticket for this as this is an old thread.

Any ideas though...?
