Module Problems

Ok I made a module to put like links in for my site...but the module dosent have anything in it nor do I know how to get the links in the module...how do I do this???

is you did like adv_portal_index as template thing make it only index than.

what? i made it say adv_portal_menu for the thing....i just wanna make a module i can put links to other pages in...kinda like the first module on the left hand side of vbadvanced.com

ok so the name of the template is adv_portal_menu but put it in as menu.
