If you created the template then there's no reason it wouldn't show up when you go back to edit it. Are you sure you're editing the right style? Did you look under the 'Custom Templates' section on that page where you edit the templates?

What I did was went into make a module and I made this one then I went into styles and templates then i picked one of my styles called fusion and went into vbadvanced cmps templates...and it wasent there...

Is your 'fusion' style the same style that you added the template to?
When you go to edit the templates for a style, you will see that the first thing in that select field says 'Custom Templates', and the new template you created would be listed in that section.

did you do the following: *make sure you're in the right style (if u have more than 1 style) if you dont understand that, then i'm sure you only have 1 style ;)

1. in your Styles and templates manager, create a template called adv_mytemplate
2. goto the cmps admin area / add module
3. in the field for "template to include" you typed in "mytemplate" (not adv_mytemplate, and of course without the quotes ;) ) and make sure its active
4. then goto the "edit page" and make sure its selected?

good luck..

If the template is not listed in your custom templates for that style, then it is not going to show up. Try re-adding the template, and make sure that it has the prefix 'adv_portal' (not 'adv_' as dafreak posted). Also, make sure that the module is enabled on your homepage as well.
If you still can't figure it out and would like to fill out a support ticket via the Members Area here I'll be glad to take a look.
