I must say, I have used subdreamer for a while but I had the problem that the CMS did not change the style accordingly ...
So, I trashed subdreamer (well, was 160$) and installed vbadvanced on ut2007world.com now .. I must admit - wow .. although the modul programming was a piece of cake in subdreamer and it is quite challenging in vbadvanced, but nothing I cannot learn .. So thx :)

I also use subdreamer on a few sites.
But the more than triple price increase in less than one year has completely turned me off from ANY further licenses.
It's a shame they have turned into money SHARKS so QUICKLY! :(

utw-Mephisto, thanks for the feedback. :) CMPS does require a little bit more code wrenching than packages like Subdreamer but it's flexibility & integration into vB opens the door for so many different things.

Hi!
I would like to try vBadvanced.
I have Subdreamer.
Can I activate vBadvance and still have Subdreamer as default untill I am satisfied with my vBadvaced installation?
If not:
I have 2 domains (one for test) using the same vBulletin database.
Is it easy to install vBadvance to the second domain and move it to the active domain later?
Will there be any changes in the vBulletin database when I install vBadvanced?
(sorry for my bad english...)

Yes you can get them two work together.
Now I have activated vBadvance to my "second" domain.
Thats only a testdomain so there is no problem.
but in my "first" domain I get error when I post new posts:
Warning: Unknown(): Unable to access ./includes/vba_cmps_plugin_newpost.php in /includes/functions_newpost.php(427) : eval()'d code on line 1
Warning: Unknown(./includes/vba_cmps_plugin_newpost.php): failed to open stream: Success in /includes/functions_newpost.php(427) : eval()'d code on line 1
Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required './includes/vba_cmps_plugin_newpost.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /hsphere/local/home/myname/mysite.com/vbforum/includes/functions_newpost.php(427) : eval()'d code on line 1
How can that be if there is no changes in the database?
There is no changes in any files in my "first" domain!

I was using SD on my site (www.emiratesmac.com) but dumped it for various reasons in favor of vbA:
- More and more, the way the site was developing, I found myself putting content and functionality in vB and less and less in SD.
- The dual-login with SD and vB was frustrating and troublesome, with users often having problems logging in (problems gone now).
- I knew that whenever we wanted to redesign the site in the future, we didn't want to get a SD skin and a vB skin. Now we can focus our resources on just a vB skin, and afford to pay a bit more for it and get something really special.
- Increasingly, to do what I wanted to do, I had to write my own plugins and customizations for SD. I don't mind doing some development, in fact I enjoy it, but I want the system I use to as much as possible fit with my needs without me having to write my own stuff.
- Generally, SD is a small system with little connections, extensions, etc to anything else. There is so much stuff that works with vB, and that makes life so much easier.
- SD has some nice plugins but there is so much more stuff available for vB and vBA, and it's generally better written, I think.
So far, vbA has been much nicer to work with than SD. Gone are the problems I had with SD and although I feel bad about wasting money on the SD license, it's no use looking back and crying over that.
The switch over was painless. I had vbA up and running side by side with SD for a while and when it was finally time to switch I just renamed files, that wasy it pretty much.
