Upgraded the forums and now the vb portal page wont come up. All the files are there, I went over everything and made the changes needed to the new files but still get nothing. I had it set to where www.fullthrottleforums.com brought up the portal page and then www.fullthrottleforums.com/forum.php brought up the forums, now when I go to where the portal page was it just brings up the forum and the second link brings up an error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dynamic_a() in /home/fullthro/public_html/forum.php on line 551

Is the error that comes up, its probably something simple to fix this, just let me know. Thanks

You have your forum in the root of your domain?

If so, http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25

forum.php is most likely the index.php from your previous version of vBulletin. You need to delete it and rename the new index.php to forum.php. Then put your cmps index back in there as index.php.

Thank you.

Could you do me a favor and check to see if I made the link to the actual forum correctly?
http://www.fullthrottleforums.com/

Then click on the word "Forum". Does that look like it will work good enough? Thanks

I suppose it's not hurting anything, but there's no need to have the '?=?' part at the end of the link.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Modules => Site Navigation

Just change the link there.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages => Default / Homepage

Go there and check the site navigation module options to make sure you haven't customized them on that page.

As for the slow loading, can you post a link to your site so I can have a look?

It seems to load slow on the portal page, but no where else. Thanks Brian for everything.

It does seem just a little slow rendering the HTML, but that would have to be something that was fixed from the server side.

The rest of the site isnt like that, when I had the Advance VB off when I updated it wouldnt take no time to load up the main forum page...added the VBPortal page and it becomes slow again. Its weird, but oh well. Thanks again

That's because there are more tables and more data to display with the CMPS. You still may want to try asking your host about the issue though as most servers should not take that long to render HTML code.

Ok, just ask them to take a look at it or what? Everytime I talk to people at my host they try to act stupid on me so I always have to explain everything in detail. If I cant explain it, they wont know..so I need you to tell me what to say.hehe Thanks bro.

That side of things really isn't my forte, so about the best thing I can suggest would be to just tell them that the server seems very slow with rendering HTML files.
