hide forums for vba

I have several forums for news/links and custom page content that I want to hide from certain usergroups in the forums list. In fact only 1 usergroup is suppose to see the webpage forum area for adding/editing content, the rest is not suppose to see it.

But when I go into usergroup permissions and turn off the forum from being viewable the usergroup cannot see those pages at all in the system. I have to let them see t he forums in vbulletin or they won't see the content in vba either.

Is there something I'm missing here. I've checked all permissions both in vba and vbulletin and all access permissions seem to be set up right.

There's not really an option to disable just the content for custom pages. You could always add the content as a module though so that you would be able to set permissions on that module.
