I noticed on my CMPS these weren't included by default in the list of vBulletin variables to carry over.
Mine is an old install, through many upgrades, so it could be that these are included now with new installs. Just wanted to post it.

Do you mean the 'Portal Output Global Variables' option? Either way, I don't believe those two variables are included by default since they're not used in the CMPS.

Yes.
They are used in header/footer though, and don't work on CMPS pages to indent in from the left/right sides of the page like every other page of the site.

The header and footer are parsed way before the function to print out the portal content, so unless I'm missing something (though I don't *think* I am), those variables shouldn't have a problem.

Strange. It didn't work on mine until I added them into the variable list. Before that, my modules were smashed up against the sides. Added those to the list and the moved in 5px like the rest of the site. Dunno.

Very weird... Do you perhaps have those variables in your navbar or adv_portal template as well? Those *should* be the only places that the global variables option would affect things if I'm thinking correctly here.

Ah yes. I use them in navbar as well. That could be it.

That would be my guess then. The global variables option would affect the navbar template since that's parsed within the print_portal_output() function. :)
