Ok, I've read a couple related threads, and am still experiencing issues.

Problems:
-When logging into the welcome block on the cmps, you are fine. Then if you click "forums" in site navigation and go to the forum page, you have to re-login.
-If you are on the cmps page, and instead of logging in to the welcome block, choose to login on the toolbar thing (on the top of the page), it wont let you login. You can however, login on the toolbar on the forums page.
-Sometimes, if you login on the cmps page in the welcome block, it will say "thank you for logging in" but as soon as the page refreshes you aren't logged in.
-There are errors logging out from the cmps page. You have to log out 2 times and that doesn't even work all the time. You have to log out from the forums page to ensure it worked.

I've tried the following cookie settings, all with different variations on the same bad results (as listed above).
/
/forums/
(blank)
.clubracer.net

At this point, it is pretty frustrating. The only good thing is that once you are logged in (completely) you are pretty much good to go and can navigate without issues. Still, the situation needs to be addressed and any help would be great.

Thanks

Thanks

Change your Cookie Path to '/', then try '.clubracer.net' for the Cookie Domain option. Close all windows and clear your internet cache. If you still have problems, try leaving the 'Cookie Domain' option blank. One of those two will work.

Thanks Brian, will give it a go. I guess there has to be some rationalizing too. I'd rather have a forum that operates at 95% accuracy, than no forum at all.

Or, like we say in management, 1/2 an employee is better than no employee

lmao

I would say 95% would be on the low end. Granted some users are always going to have a problem on some web sites, that shouldn't be more than about 1%, if that.

What happens when you try to log in/out? Can you post a link to your site?

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings => Navbar Replacements

Make sure that you have not made any changes to that option and that login.php is listed there. Even if it is, go ahead and save your options so that the settings cache will be updated and that should take care of the problem.
