Latest links on external page

I'm using Links Directory but not CMPS, and would really like to be able to pull in the latest links onto an external page on my site somehow. Is there any way of doing this?

As far as I'm aware nobody has released a hack for something like this. If you are fairly good with PHP and such though it shouldn't be *that* hard to create.

I'm clueless with PHP, and was wondering how easy it would be for someone with a little more PHP knowledge than myself to maybe adapt the CMPS module code to work on an external page, even one residing in the vbulletin folder maybe so I could pull it into an iframe.
