create a new module

I need to create a module that work like the news module
How I can do that ?

I want this to post in a section of my forum a code to the member and that they can see it on this module .

I cant use the news one for this because after a couple of news post the code will be lost .

You could use the news module, or make a copy of the news module if you are already using the current one. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "the code will be lost" since you can set your options to allow as many news posts as you would like to be shown, and as many characters.

I try to make a copy but when I change the setting of the copy module the original change too .


if I could make a news2 module apart from the other one that could help me .
