News not showing

I installed Vbadvanced but it seems like the news are not showing for some reason.. i moved the "latest forum topics" to the center to see if there was a problem with the template but it was not.. as you can see

the "latest forum topics" can be seen but the news cant... what can be the problem?

oh and by the way, the calendar cant be seen either... any ideas?

Did you put the news' forum id in the default settings? :)
In the calendar you must do that too

I know this seems like a stupid question but did you make sure that they are both active? :p
And with the "news" did you specify which forum it was to be pulled from?

i made sure of those things... i just posted a message that said "test" in the news forum but it appeared in the "the most recent topics" but not as news..

ok, i fixed it.

for those newbies like me, make sure you put the forum id correctly and that there is something in there...... i had 1, when in 1 there was nothing lol [laughs]

oh by the way, this "hack" "mod" was the reason that brought me to vbulleting... all the way from phpnuke lol :)
