I've installed this but I have so much blank space. It doesn't look the same as the demo.
I put the code into a .txt file and im TOTALLY confused at to what .EXT i should put and where I should put it.

Awsome work!!!
But listen, Im a complete noob.. I understand everything you wrote, but you didn't explain the first bit. How to make a template??
what we did was made a new template named it adv_portal_paypal
and in that template we added this code...
Yea but how? Do you download one of the module files, renamed them and change the content? If so what may you delete, and what should you keep ...?!?!
Please help... And thanks for taking the time to do this, and share it ! Awsome!

any way to make the people who donate change usergroups?
Great info.
However I have a problem.
I have created a new module, with a PayPal button link for donations. However, although its working, the button is being placed with a large gap from the text above. The code has no extra breaks or spaces.
Even if I use any of the code from within this thread, I get the same result.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it??
I would like the button to be directly beneath the text......
Take a look here - ITCertForum.com (http://www.itcertforum.com)
Its on the right side panel.....
Thanks in advance for any info.

Same problem here also. At one point I got the preview to show wright but that was just luck I guess. Is there a instructions in plain English somewhere that would show us step by step so we don't keep fishing for hours on end? The template parts really funny because we're not told where to "Add" the code? It's at least a little comforting that some folks got this to work but on the other hand they could, should and would maybe share their process of installation?
Please let me know....

Hi;
I loaded this module this am and edited the pricing and changed the wording a bit without a hitch.
Now I believe I need to maybe edit the path to the paypal site or something? .
We are getting this error message below. I have edited the code with our correct e-mail address....
Can someone please share with me what needs to be done now. :o
Thanks

I have it all squared away now. I used some of the code from the fist page here, some of paypal's as well as omitting some.
Changed donations to memberships as well as the dollar amounts.
Not sure how you guys insert the text box images in your posts, so if anyone needs the code they have to let me know how it is done.
Works Great!

Thanks for the update. If you click the Post Reply button, rather than using the Quick Reply box, you'll see a number of formatting options. The icon shown as a # allows you to enter code/text and have it show in a separate box.
I think it would be valuable to you to post your code if you would be so kind. :)
Thanks....Steve

Hey Steve;
I am afraid I need a little more instructions on posting code. I saw the # tab and inserted the tags before and after my code then previewed and it didn't show anything.
Am I in the right place?
Thanks

Sounds like you're in the right place.
code inserted between bracketed CODE notation after clicking #
Not sure why it's not working for you. You should be able to try it on your own forum as well.
Even if it won't work for some reason, you could just post it as straight text. :)

Hey!
I just looked at the code and this is correct.
This is the entire code from beginning to end.
Just drag your mouse and grab it!
Enjoy!

And this surprises you? This module is 5+ years old and was created for vBulletin v2 +.
It is unlikely that any modules from these forums will work on vB4 as the code is so different, unless you see that a module has been written and tested for vB4/vBa v4 BE VERY CAREFUL.

The date 2005 at the start of the thread should be clear enough, all the way through the thread there are folk asking if the module works on 3.5/6/7/8.
Skins, template mods, modules created for v3..... anything which calls a template is not going to work on v4,this is common knowledge and was made clear by vBulletin/Jeldsoft/IB long before vB4 was released.
With the constant code changes being made by vB to correct all the 1000's of errors in vB4 even new modules could well need updating every few weeks.
What worked on v4.0.0 may well not work on v4.0.1 or v4.0.2 and more changes are due in v4.0.3 .
Within 24 hours of the release of v4.0.2 there were 10 full new pages of bugs reported for vB4.
