Multiple Attachments on News

Is there anyway somebody could modify CMPS to be able to add a maxium attachment limit to news articles and maybe have an attachmentbit for them so we can customize the template(s) for them?

I think this has been asked before i'm not too sure what Brian is going to do but don't get your hopes up as it will need a lot of recoding.
