Hello all, I had a few questions. Let me thank everyone in advance for reading this, and those that helped thank you.

I currently have a site that I use Mambo for the content and vBulletin for the forum. I am running VB 3.0.7. I want to upgrade to 3.5 and I came across this site, and I must say that this is what I was looking for when I decided to use VB for my forum.

If I use vbadvanced CMPS is there a different version for VB 3.0.7 and 3.5.x?
Also I have the same question for the Photo Gallery plug in.

Also If I use the vbadvanced CMPS will that bridge the log in to my forum so members only have to log in once?

From what I see the CMPS will allow me to put some content on my main page, can I create multiple pages for different things? Or is there just a single page that this program allows me to have. For example, if I wanted to have one page of content, one page for a gallery, and 3 more pages for different content, is that possible?

Lastly as I mentioned, I use Mambo to power my site, if I wanted to ditch that and go completly to CMPS could I create a new database with MySQL, move only my VB forum data to the new database and use the CMPS also. Is that possible, difficult or fairly easy to do?

Thank you all.

Yes, there are versions of the CMPS for vB 3.0 and vB 3.5. The coding between the two versions of vB is so different that it requires entirely different coding for the new version.
The CMPS is completely integrated with vBulletin, so the login will be the same for both.
You can also create as many new pages as you would like, and have completely different (or very similar for that matter) content on each.
If you want to create the new MySQL database and such then that shouldn't be a problem. It's really not necessary though as you could just install the CMPS on your current database, play around with things until you have everything set up, and then uninstall Mambo.

Thanks for your response Brian,, I really do appreciate it.
Regarding the database question:

If you want to create the new MySQL database and such then that shouldn't be a problem. It's really not necessary though as you could just install the CMPS on your current database, play around with things until you have everything set up, and then uninstall Mambo.

So I can install the CMPS and then remove the mambo stuff from the db? Is that difficult? Or is it just as easy as removing the tables from MySQL?

I've never used Mambo, so I'm not sure what would be involved to uninstall it. I know the two can be run at the same time without affecting each other though.
