Hello..
I hav just upgrade my cmps.. But it sayz: Thr r 4 templates need to updated or reverted..
The templates have been updated in the default template set since you customized them..
It may be necessary for you to revert the custom templates..

Here is the screenshot:

Those templates were changed in order to fix some bugs, so I would suggest reverting them and then reapplying your changes.

But if we revert them and re-apply the changes they will once again show up on the "have to be reverted" status, won't they?

Ok I'm doing something wrong here

- It says "There are currently 6 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this!"

- I go through each of these templates.
- I click at "View History" to have a backup for the changes I had applied and *will* re-apply after I revert the templates
- I revert the templates
- Now I don't get the usual messages and all is fine
- I go through each template and I apply the changes I had before, by looking at the "Comparing Versions of xxxxx template". I copy paste the text of the "new version" to the current template.

and then.. I'm getting again the usual "have to be reverted" message

what am I doing wrong here? :o

I'm not really sure... I just tried here and had no problems. Try this method instead:

1). View the out of date templates through the link on your cp home page.
2). Edit a template that is out of date, copy the code, then go back and revert the template.
3). Then go into your style manager, find that same template, and paste the code that you copied over what it has.

Ok I did this with the adv_portal template.

After pasting the code and saving the template I'm still getting the same message:

adv_portal

Your Custom Template Last Edited in 3.5.1 by stark

So, any ideas about what could be causing this at my admin CP ?

p.s. May I submit a support ticket for this ?

I'm not really sure what would be causing the problem, but if you'd like to submit a support ticket I'll be glad to take a look.
