I would like to have a separate forum which is reachable through its own address in my navigational bar. I want to strip that forum from acting as a forum -- I really want it to be a repository of site articles. People can browse and read the articles, but there's no talk or commenting on the articles. Of course, when there is a new article (approx weekly), I want to put a paragraph or so on the front page with a link which takes it to the rest of the article.
At first, I thought that I could just add a second forum and strip it down. Now I'm not sure that I could get the CMPS to work with a second forum, so thinking that I need to "split" a forum.
I'd be wanting several splits. One split section for just my polls. One split section for the articles described above. Two or 3 more split sections for other articles (would group them by author or type, and let the "forum" be their "archive."
So, any ideas how I should go about accomplishing this? thanks much!
