I did a test last week( on a mirror image of my site) and everything worked fine
upgraded from 3.07 to 3.53vb and upgraded all the vbadvanced products.

So tonight I figured I would upgrade the live forum.
followed the upgrade instructions

Upgrading from a previous vBulletin 3.0 version
1). If you have not already, first upgrade to vBulletin v3.5.
2). Upload the new CMPS files in this package over your existing ones.
3). Go to the install file in your browser by going to http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php. Once there, select the option to upgrade.

pretty simple, last week I thought I had to edit my global file,(was a earlier release) but figured since this was the new release I didnt have to( since it didnt say to do so).

Anyway I have no moduals or anything I even tried to reinstall template still I get the same thing. All my options are click in all the user groups.

Any Idea would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have any custom modules from before? If not you can uninstall and then reinstall. You will loose the custom modules you had before but you wont loose the templates. You can just recreate them

Did you upload the new cmps_index.php file?

Yes brian, It was weird everything worked fine except I had no moduals at all.
I wish I would have taken a screen shot for ya,

I put last weeks version back in it, I havent upgrade to the new version that came out yesterday do to when I did I had that problem.
The foot was about half way up the page,
everything was fine ie colors, logo etc just no moduals and if I remmeber correctly there was no login at the top left either.
I will try it again tomorrow night?

So the header, navbar, footer, and CMPS copyright notice were showing, correct? If so, that would indicate that the vba_cmps_include_template.php file was not being included. This was moved from being a required edit and placed in the cmps_index.php file instead. There's not any other reason I can think of that would cause that, unless you hadn't updated your cmps_index.php file.

The nav bar wasnt there if I remember correctly Only my logo and the footer with the cmps copy right

The blue line where the footer is was up almost to where the nave bar would be maybe 2 footer spaces down, I reuped the cmps_index.php file a few times.

While going through and trying to read what the coad calls for( I am not very good at it) it was basically not calling the vba_cmps_include_template.php

I thought it was very strange and so did mholtum. If it happens again I will get you a screen shot.
one thing. On the first install it hung up while on the second click here go round. so I just click next page or continue again.
Thats why I figured it dropped a page and tried a reinstall upsates etc.
