Loggin Issues

When I log into my forums and then login to my links directory its not keeping me logged in.

Any idea what would be causing this?

Ive already tried that and it makes no difference.

At this point after trying just about everything I can think of I am leaning toward thinking it may be a mod or script that I installed on my site, as I did a test board installation and it "Appears" to be working normal.

As long as your cookie domain setting is either blank or set to .yoursite.com and your cookie path setting is set to '/' then you shouldn't have any problems.

From what i can tell changing it to .domainname.com must not be an instant process and must take time for the server or something to "update" the information.

I change it and then tried the login to see if the cookie issue was still there and to my surpise you were right, adding the .domainname.com to that box seems to have resolved the problem but it took some time for the new settings to take effect for some reason.

Anyway I "think" we can consider this problem resolved.

Update...

After I added in the .domainname.com into that box and clicked save, It took a few hours for the changes to actually take effect before I notices any change, its been 2 or 3 days now and this login issue seems to have cleared up permenetly with no further login issues from what I can see.

I had to modify my / to /forums/ to get my photopost to work so got any other ideas as mine is breaking again.
