I am trying to upgrade to version 2.1 and when I run the upgrade script, I get the following error -

There seems to have been a problem with the comiXtreme database.

OK - new problem. I tried to unintsall/reinstall, and I am getting this error now -

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: build_datastore() in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/forums/admincp/vbacmps_install.php on line 249

At this point, I am really lost...

OK then - I started totally over again, and it seemed to work.

However, if anyone would like to tell me what went wrong, I would love to learn :)

For the first problem, it sounds like you may have hit the continue button twice, or tried to refresh the page.
For the 2nd, I would assume that you did not have the plugin/hook system enabled. If you downloaded the files from here more than a couple of days ago then you would get an error like that if the plugin system was not enabled. The files were updated shortly after the release though to add a check to make sure the plugin system is enabled.
