Group,
I accidently entered in the wrong information into the "Whats New" box settings in the admin cp and ended up getting a mysql database error when I clicked on the "Whats New" link on the links page.
I now realize that I wasnt suppose to put what page numbers in that box and was actually suppose to put how many links total I wanted on the "Whats New" page, Yes I now realize that and the problem has been fixed in that regard, that is not the question here Im going to ask.
After viewing the attachments below that I have added for you to take a look at...
My question actually is this, even though I entered in the wrong information in that box, Should I really gotten a database error? I would have figured the "proper way" would have been that the system would have known that it was an invalid entry and the links directory program would tell me that I cannot do that because that entry is not valid BEFORE any kind of Mysql Database error would have ever occurred.
Is something messed up or is this normal? I know some of the other Vbulletin related programs will tell you that you entered an invalid entry and you need to go back and correct it before it will let you save the entry, but how is this really suppose to work for the Links Directory Program?
Thanks
Doug
