View Full Version : Error logging into HomePage (White List Error)

I have searched these forums and followed the directions but nothing is working. I have the error after logging into the homepage that states this:
In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.
I have added these to the white list: .forumsoup.com
But still, I'm getting the POST white list error.

I'm assuming you figured this one out since you're able to login now?

Now I am able to login but I still have that weird visual error on the homepage where if I login (or anyone else) logs in, it doesnt show that they have logged in until they start viewing the forums. Which cans start many problems. Users leave the site because they think they cant login, cant vote on the home page, etc.

I have seen this, it was because the forums were "www.whatever.com/forums" and the link back to the vBad index was whatever.com without the "www". It made you appear logged out, but it looked like you were logged in at the same time. I just made sure all the settings in vBulliten General Settings had the "www." before the domain name. It fixed the problem.

I'm having a problem.
That fixed part of my problem, but it's still not logging me in.
It just takes me to my fourums location, still logged out. :S

I'm having this problem as well...
In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.
After I log into vBulletin from the homepage, I get the above error, any ideas?

You'd need to ask for help at vbulletin.com then as the CMPS wouldn't cause an error like that with your Admin CP.

I'm in the process of setting up/tweaking vBA on my live forums and found that I could not login in. It would recognize me, but not log me in. My problem was with my cookie setting in vB. I had it set to /forums/. I changed it to the default which is / and now everything works like it is supposed to. Perhaps this is your problem too?
