How do I make vbadvanced the same skin as my forums?

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages => Default / Homepage => Custom Style For This Page

Make sure that option is set to 'Use Default'.

If I set it to default, it sets it as the vbulletin original. When I put it to my template, it works but not completely. It's a little disorted.
