I have come across a very wierd problem.
I am running vBA 2.1.0 and vB 3.5.3. The problem arises ONLY when I try to display the results of a poll (pollresults_table). I have implemented the left column in some of my forum pages, including 'showthread' which is where the pollresult_table appears at the top of. (when I un-implement the left column in the showthread page all is fine).

On my 'Live' forum everything is as it should be as in THIS IMAGE (http://www.cornishserver.com/cps_live_good.jpg)
but on my local install (testbed) it turns into THIS IMAGE (http://www.cornishserver.com/cps_local_bad.jpg)
and the horizontal scrollbar appears as the thread table scrolls off the page.
Really sorry about the large file sizes of the images.

There are NO diferences in the installations, I even saved the database 'templates' table and imported them into the local database so they are known to be identical!
No other files are diferent.......:confused::confused:

All I would really like to know is where to start looking for a clue?

p.s. I am one of those really dangerous beasts..... a guy with only part knowledge of .php, so be as belligerent with me as you wish.

Right.
I have now done a completely virginal install of vB 3.5.3, then using impex imported database from the 'active' forums.
Installed vBA 2.1.0
and implemented the left column on a couple of pages (as per vBA manual)
NO mods
NO hacks
Still getting the error when (and only when) displaying a poll. The odd thing is that when I go to the second page of the poll everything straightens out, it's only on the first page.
eerie........:eek::eek:

p.s. if anybody wants to have a butchers the thread is HERE (http://www.cornishserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1678)

Forget it, sorted!
Got a member with a remotely hosted siggy. The siggy image had gone AWOL so the URL was being displayed instead, this was about 2 miles long......:rolleyes::rolleyes:
