Ok I have searched and searched on here. It seems that all of the problems with the news module do not apply to my problem. I was having a problem getting the news module to appear for some user groups. I tried all kinds of different settings. Well I was not able to get it to work and now it will not show up for any user groups including admins. I have triple checked that the module is activated and is selected on the default/hompage. I have set all of the settings back to what they were before I messed with them and still no news module. I recently upgraded to VB 3.5.3 from 3.5.0 and CMPS 2.1.0 from 2.0.0 but that was after the news module dissapeared. I was actually on 3.5.0 and 2.0.0 when it happened. I thought upgrading might "fix" the problem.

The next thing I would suggest would be to edit your news module and make sure that you have a valid forum or threads selected to display. While you're checking those options, see if something like "This setting has been customized in the following pages" is shown with the description for those settings. If so, edit your Default / Homepage page and make sure that those options are set there as well, or click on the 'Use Default' checkbox next to each and then save your settings so that the page will use the default settings again. If that doesn't help and you'd like to submit a support ticket I'll be glad to take a look at things for you.

Well yes it did say that it was customized in the default/hompage so I went into it and set it all to default. I also saved the module once again. Still the same. I also double checked the Forum ID and it is correct. I will submit a ticket then.
