Links cached?

I'm considering getting vbadvanced links directory, but I would like to know if it caches the links? So often I'll link somewhere, and the link will die. Rather than have a dead link, I'd like a [cached] link next to it like Google does.

Does it do that?

No, it does not cache the links. There is a maintenance tool that can be used to check the validity of the links though.
