Missing modules

I recently installed this into my forum and it works perfectly except for 2 missing modules on the home page ..

No matter what iv tried the news and news archive modules wont show up. Iv tried searching here for an answer but cant seem to see anything obvious.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK i think i figured out what the problem is but not the soloution ...

im running windows xp pro which doesnt support chmod so how do i set the attributes of the modules folder .. iv tried unchecking the read only tag in the folders properties but it changes right back again when i close the window.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages => Default / Hompeage

Go there and make sure those modules are checked in the 'Modules Enabled' section. Also try editing the module and make sure you have selected a valid forum to pull your news posts from.
