I've got some layout problems here after integrating CMPS in showthread and other pages and moving to a new server. previously i successfully placed the CMPS blocks in forumhome and also in showthread, forumdisplay, etc. (see related thread (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?p=77883#post77883)) but when i moved to a new vB server, CMPS did not appear and started having these layout problems (white space and unaligned columns).

i know that one way to solve these layout problems is to uninstall and reinstall vBadvanced CMPS but im wondering if there's an easy way to do it.

i tried to revert to the default showthread and forumdisplay templates but it didn't seem to work. probably there are other affected templates which i missed (global.php perhaps?)

anyway, ive attached how the layout problems look like in both IE and Firefox.

Well, I know this is old but I am having similar problems. My co-admin was trying to fix a problem in the layout (was a ling url in a post) and he changed something and now the columns are off and very small. I have checked the settings everywhere I know to check and can't find anything.

Any suggestions on what could be causing the right and left columns to be so small? And they look different on different browsers. One is mine and one is a mods:

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings => Left Column Width & Right Column Width

Those are currently set to 80. Change those to something more like 175 and that should take care of the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply!

They are set to 175.

Heck, I changed them to 400 and nothing changed. The only way I could get the side columns to change sizes was to disable everything in the middle.

Any other suggestions?

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages => Default / Homepage

Scroll down on that page until you see the same setting then. They're definitely set to 80 somewhere. ;)

Hummm....it seems there is no page there.

Maybe it was renamed? Either way, it should be the page that has 'home' as the identifier.

I think my co-admin deleted it, there are no pages.

Your're going to Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages, right? The CMPS wouldn't function at all if you didn't have any pages.

I added a page and it's still screwed up. I'm submitting a support ticket. I would rather just pay one of you guys to re-install it and make sure it's right. I'm sure it's something simple but I cannot figure out what.
