2 Questions from a newbie Re: Add a Page, Styles...

1) Re STATIC PAGES

Can I use vbA to easily add static pages to my site, or will I need another mod for that?

Can I add Google Adsense into the body of the page?

Would this all be done from the Admin Panel, or would it require going into the templates?

What was used to create the ARTICLES box on this site? http://www.tvshoppingworld.com/index.php?page=articles

Are the articles on ^this^ page static pages, or posts from the forum? Were they done with vBa or another mod?

2) Regarding Styles

Notice on this site http://www.tvshoppingworld.com/index.php?page=articles, the TOPS of all of the sidebar boxes have take on the STYLE of the board (created by vbStyles).

This page (http://www.chatsusa.com/ ) is using the same STYLE, however, the tops of the boxes do not look like the ones in the other site. Why? (is this something that has to be tweaked manually?)

To your first question, Yes, That is a static page that he created.

I have a ton of them on my site, But, Yes, you have to create a templates to do this, so you need to know some html

As to your second question, Yes, it looks like the person at tvshoppingworld.com did some tweaking of the vbA templates to make it look the same as the forum.
Or it could be the other way, the person at chatusa tweaked it to look differently on purpose.

I dont have the Aria style, so I would reply to chatusa over at vbstyles to see what he did, then you'll know. ;)

Yes, That static page was created with vbAdvanced.

and No, It is not overkill to have an Article feature like GARS.
I use it, it is awesome.

On both of those pages, notice the center modules, those are pulling directly from the individual forums only for that page.

I guarentee, once you start playing with it, you'll fall in love with vBa as well as GARS ;)

It's been a while, I got them back in the old v2Arcade days, I think.
