How do I not show up a page in the "site navagation" area

I am going to be making some pages that I don't want to show up in the site navagation area, is there a way to do this?

there are two ways you can do this... you can go to the EDIT MODULE function and edit the navigation menu to exclude each individual page...

OR (and this is the method I prefer)... create an inactive subset. What I did was create a page called "hidden" and set it to inactive. Then any pages I want to be hidden, I set as a child to this "hidden page.

If I make it doing the inactive subset then I will not have any difficulties with restricting ti to certain users or anything? IS that correct?
