Newb with a big question :)

Hiya, I am really new at all this, and I set up CMPS in the forum I am working on. The program is running perfectly, but I have no idea how to make it do what I want it to. Basically I want to replace my index.html with a nice looking front page with links and our logo. I have no idea how to go about doing that. I have attempted it, but I didnt know what file paths to use or what specific options it needs for that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

OK, so if I remove my index.html, there is a link to my CMPS page amongst other things, but how do I make the CMPS page come up instead fo that directory? I have tried to make a HTML page through CMPS, but it keeps telling me that my file path doesnt exist, and I am not too sure which file path it wants.

Just rename your cmps_index.php file to index.php.

OK, the front page is in place, but for some reason when I try to log in on the front page, the "thank you for signing in" box comes up, but when it goes back to the front page, I am not logged into it. I am not quite sure what I did wrong, or how to fix it. Any ideas?

BTW: Thanks for all the help so far, I really appreciate it.
