New install - few problems

Hi,

I just installed. In the admincp, the modules all appears listed, but they do not seem to be on the index page. I checked the permissions and they are OK.

Also, the breadcrumbs are not showing up, I use a template, can this be fixed?

I think you'll have to rename your index.php to something like forum.php, then rename the cmps_index.php to index.php. That way the cmpx_index.php becomes your main site page.

Make sure you've checked the tick mark next to each module in the Enable Modules section.

Admincp -> vBa CMPS-> Edit Page -> Edit (Go) -> Enable Modules.

Thanks, I checked this and they are ticked.
Not to focus so much on the Clock module (I doubt I will use this one), but to use it as an example, it says in that modules setting to include this template adv_portal_clock. But when I go to the templates, it's not there. :confused:

I just looked and it seems that two module templates are missing are missing, clock and bookmarks.
How can I get these there?
I tried reinstalling the templates with the install script, but that didn't put them there either.

Did you try just reinstalling the modules? That should cause them to reappear.

I just downloaded the package again, and there is no clock module. I wonder if other items are missing because I am having a couple of problems.

Here are the modules that were included:

I don't think the clock module is part of the vBadvanced software. At least I've not seen in in v2.0.0 or v2.1.0.

I suspect it may have been an add-on module that you had. You should be able to add it back. It's probably still in the /modules folder unless you cleaned out that folder.

There is no clock module in any version of CMPS.

For the breadcrumbs, have you tried the stock vB style to see if the problem is unique to your custom style?

Hmm, thanks Ozzie - I think I did have this installed a while back and had the clock there.

KW802, it seems like it might be a problem with my custom style, it's difficult trying to get support for it. Everyone says it's not them, now it seems it is the style. I'll try again with them, but they say they don't support add-ons. Oh well, it's getting close.

dilbert05, that's a vBStyles design, right? I'm surprised they're giving you grief about it considering that they've recommended vBa CMPS in the past.

Either way... I just took a look and it looks like there is a conditional statement in your navbar template so that when you're on certain pages the breadcrumbs show and on other pages the forum statistics show. For your CMPS pages, which would you want showing? If you post/send your navbar template we'll take a look to see what can be done if the vBStyles team won't.

They are very friendly. I originally asked for help because it does not show up in my PhotoPost classifieds. They said they don't own that personally so can't check it out and suggested I try there. I tried there and well...

Here is my navbar info. Any help is greatly appreciate. In the next week or so, I plan to work out all of the small bugs / errors my site has, and generally get things more cleaned up. This is one of those small quirks, no breadcrumbs in CMPS and Classifieds.
