Quick Nick change

a few months ago, serval forums i had access too had a, i beileve, hack, that allowed you to quickly change your nick without having to completely log out and in again. By clicking a dropdown menu beside your name you could select any of the 'linked' nicks that were connected. With the upgrade to the most recent version, this no longer worked, and i have been looking to see if there is an update for such a thing, anything like it that works with the upgraded vB version.

Any ideas?
