creating pages

I have read a couple threads on this site about creating custom pages but I am still running into a problem.

I created a template (index_advertising)

then I went and created a new page and put in my html and put the template name as "index_advertising"

Then I went to http://www.discusswhatever.com/index.php?page=advertising and all i get is the header and footer.

If you see anything I am doing wrong please tell me.

make sure custom page content is checked under modules enabled

Yeah thats checked...any other ideas?

Can you post here what you entered for each value when adding the page?
