duplicate default page and installation problems

I think I totally screwed this up. Somehow I've created a duplicate default page and I can't delete it--get the delete default page message.

I changed the cmps_index.php to index_cmps.php and it is in the same directory as the index.php. I'm using .htaccess redirect to index_cmps.php so all that needs be typed for the URL is http://symtym.com/forums/.

Should there be a link on index_cmps.php that goes to index.php? It works OK from the topics. Should there be a link on the index.php page to the index_cmps.php page?

Never mind. I deinstalled and reinstalled and the problem is gone. The other problem...well I feel pretty dumb about it. Thanks for your time.

All I did was place the cmps_index.php in the root directory and renamed it index.php according to the FAQ. Saves a lot of typing other than the www.url.com ;)
