I just upgraded to vBulletin 3.0.2 and re-installed the CMPS and the Arcade...
No problems to report with vBadvanced 1.0.0 and vBulletin 3.0.2!

Anyone else upgraded?

cLord :)

Did you guys have to reapply any vb hacks?

You always have to reapply hacks

in what order should i do things while upgrading? shall i first run the vbulletin upgrade (without any file mods)? or can I do all the CMPS file mods first?

I almost don't know if I'm going to update...don't know if there's any reason too actually.

one of the updates was for a security risk in WYIWYG

if you look in the 3.0.2 release discussion forum on vbulletin.com you will find my arguement reg. license and in it you will find a fix for your current vB 3.0.1 (for the lazy peeps like me :) )... thats what I did for now till I take a break and think :)

you just have to do one of few things as they suggested

replace " includes/functions_editor.php ", disable WYIWYG editor or apply the changes to includes/functions_editor.php

I did the last one for now

I upgraded to vBulletin 3.0.2 (had the database problems that many are reporting, but solved). And then a deinstall of vbCMPS and a reinstall--everything seems to be OK, except there is no vbCMPS Admin panel showing up? I'm at a lost as to what to do.

No need to deinstall vBadvanced CMPS first, Just upgrade the board to 3.0.2 and then reapply the CMPS hacks. Run the CMPS install script again (select install templates only after upgrading vBulletin) and all should work. At least it worked for me! ;)I almost don't know if I'm going to update...don't know if there's any reason too actually.Take my word for it, if Jelsoft releases an upgrade then there is a good reason for it! (I for one love the changes they made to the adminCP homepage)

Found the problem--I missed the "In your /forum/admincp/index.php file:" modification.

Can you explain to a novice/newbie.

If I download the new version of vB, will I need to re-install all the modules or templates that I have added to vBadvance? or do I just run the upgrade script as normal?

If it gets too technical for a novice, other than the forum upgrade, I would rather a person with a bit more knowledge do it for me.

Thanks

Stu

Then run the vbcmps_install.php as posted above.

@ DarknessDivine: LMAO, nothing big just a little handy improvement...

I had no problems upgrading to 3.0.2. I just upload files ran vB upgrade then applied the hacks and did the update CMPS thing and worked out great no issues and everything still there including all the addons I have.

alright so this will be my first upgrade of vbulletin since having the cmps installed into my site.

So all I do is run my upgrade as normal. Once its done I then run the vbcmps_install.php and thats it. Nothing else needs to be done to get the vbadvanced page back?

reinstall the templetes? can someone tell me exactly what I need to do after upgrading to the next vb? run the install script again then reinstall all the custom templetes I've made for the cmps? Meaning I should download them to disk before running the vb upgrade?

Ok, I upgraded to vb3.0.2 following this procedure.

Upgrade vbulletin using install/upgrade.php script ... everything went smooth
then modified the necessary php files as stated in readme_vba_cmps.html (then triple-checked that everything is correct)
then excuted the vbacmps_install.php script, and selected 'install templates only'... it seemed to work smooth.

but now I get a blank page (ie no modules are showing up) on my home page.
You can check it at www.istasyon.org

Any help will be appreciated.

tried to update (some) counters. no hope...

now I tried to unsinstall/reinstall cmps.
after I uninstalled and clicked on "Click here to begin the installation process -->" I get the error message:

vBadvanced CMPS is already installed!

hmph!:(

I tried the new install php file and uninstalled and reinstalled. but I still have the old problem, no modules are displayed

OK FIXED! I really don't know what I did, but reinstalling the same thing for 4 times seemed to work:)
